Érick Chamberland is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) who holds a doctoral certificate in public administration, a doctoral degree is industrial relations and a master’s and bachelor’s degree in the same specialty.
After holding various union positions, he participated in updating the National Occupational Classification before working as Director of Human Resources, Payroll, and Labour Relations for Groupe Michel Cadrin.
Since 2003, has been an associate professor in management/HRM at the Département des sciences économiques et administratives (DSEA) of the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC).
From 2008 to 2014, he acted as a pedagogical advisor for the joint programs (Formation continue de l'UQAC and CISSS), helping with management succession planning in the Quebec health and social services network.
At the end of his interim duties as Dean of Academic Management and Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs, he went back to teaching collective bargaining, human resource management, organizational change, and research and intervention methods, both locally and internationally.
Committed to staying involved in his community, he recently became 2nd Vice-President of the Syndicat des professeures et professeurs de l'UQAC.
